Obituary of Janet Viola Knott

Janet Viola Knott, Passed away on August 15, 2019 in Manassas Virginia

Janet was born December 9, 1930, in Holyoke Massachusetts to Theodore Bouvier and Georgianna Audette and grew up in Holyoke Massachusetts.  She dropped out of school in the 9th grade to help her family. Janet later earned her GED. At 21 she joined the Air Force, she trained at Eglin Air Force base in Florida. Janet was assigned to Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. She served from 1952 to 1957.

She also met her husband to be Lancaster B Knott  who also was in the Air Force at Ramstein. They married on March 2, 1957 and were married for 25 years until his passing in 1982. They lived in Fairfax Virginia from 1958 to 1964 and settled in Manassas Viginia in 1964   

She was preceded by her husband Lancaster and one son Lanny. Survivors are her children John, Frances,Steven, and son William who took care of her the last 5 years. She loved people and laughter. She will be missed by many who knew and loved her.
