Kathleene J. Daniels of Alexandria, Virginia died from cancer on July 15, at the age of 75 in Fairfax Hospital.

Kathy was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. She was an avid reader, an animal lover, enjoyed family gatherings and loved playing cards. Kathy spent her career working for a prestigious intellectual property law firm in DC, before retiring in 2008.

Kathy will be greatly missed by her daughter, Whitney Kindya and her husband, Vincent of Edinburg, Virginia and her son, Arek Grantham of Alexandria, Virginia, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother, William Daniels and his wife Marilyn of Fenton, Michigan, and her sister, Denise Folan and her husband Marty Tyler of Stafford, Virginia. Kathy is also survived by her honorary sister, Mary Helen Alexander of Bradenton, Florida, her first cousin, Lindsey Croft of Alexandria, Virginia, her dear friend, Pam Nolan and, of course, her beloved dog, Cookie.

Kathy died exactly as she lived; with honor, dignity, grace and a playful sense of humor.
