Michael Goodman

Obituary of Michael Goodman

Michael (Mike)  Goodman , 65, Died July 4th, 2022, at the Adler Care Hospice Center in Stone Ridge, with his loving wife Kate and sister in-law Jan by his side.

Mike always like to say he was born in Jamaica…Jamaica Queens, New York City that is!  He enjoyed living in New York, Canada, Florida and finally Virginia.  His longest residence was here in South Riding where he lived since the year 2000.

Son of Murry and Sophie Goodman.  Mike lost his father at the young age of 4 and enjoyed a close bond with his Stepfather Nick Sutera. He leaves behind his wife Kate (Katherine) Martin whom he worked with in Real Estate for the past 15 years.   He is survived by his brother Mark Barry Goodman, sister-in-law Jan Goodman and nephew Matthew Goodman.  He was preceded in death by his father Murry Goodman, Mother and Stepfather, Sophie and Nick Sutera and beloved brother Philip Goodman.  He will be missed by family, dear friends, and faithful business associates.

Those who knew Mike knew he was always there to lend a hand and he always practiced his philosophy to leave things in better shape than when he got there.  He had a quick wit and a keen sense of humor and loved to laugh. He loved his work and his home in South Riding.

One of Mike’s greatest joys was traveling!  He had been all over the world on 40+ cruises and always had a suitcase packed at the ready for his next adventure.

A Memorial Service will be held for Mike, July 21, 2022 @ 4PM at the Gateway Community Church 42350 Tall Cedars Pkwy, South Riding, VA 20152
