Obituary of Juanita C. Webb

Juanita C. Webb, 75, of Manassas, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Fairfax Hospital, stemming from complications due to a cancerous tumor in her stomach.


Juanita was born on June 1, 1947, in the town of Delorme, of Mingo, West Virginia to the late Golden and Margie Stevens Chapman.


Juanita grew up going to church, accepting God into her life and understanding the importance of religion in one’s life that builds the moral foundation to which she extended to her children. In which, Juanita was a loving and protective mother. She enjoyed cooking and loved to make her famous sausage gravy and freshly made biscuits, that her kids loved very much. She grew up a country girl, enjoying summers in Mingo, West Virginia, with her late grandmother, Fannie Evelyn Chapman.


As a young girl, she loved getting the newest records and having her friends and younger sisters over to dance and have fun. She loved to go to her local B&K and being at the bowling alley, playing the jukebox; dancing and living life. When she met her husband, they both enjoyed going to drive-thru movies. Juanita and Terry loved going on long drives with their family and friends, to enjoy their time together and create memories and adventures. 


Early in life, Juanita worked for the Post Office and had a cleaning company in which she cleaned motels. Juanita then decided to become a housewife once she had married her late husband, Terry DeWayne Webb on December 23, 1966. Over a span of 28 years; Juanita and Terry had built a marriage and home until his passing on January 12, 1995.


Juanita enjoyed watching soap operas (her favorite being One Life to Live). She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow up. Juanita enjoyed walks with her children when they were young. She allowed many pets in her home, such as, Fluffy the cat, Benji the dog and many rabbits. Juanita enjoyed social gatherings with her neighbors and children. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and having a good time.


The grandparents of Juanita Webb were the late Sidney Allen Chapman who was the late grandson of Elnora Louise McCoy. With her grandmother being a Hatfield, Juanitas parents represented both sides of the Hatfield and McCoy Rivalry. Juanita was named after her late aunt Juanita C. Chapman; sister of her late father, Golden Andrew Chapman.


Juanita was predeceased by her husband, parents, and daughter, Pamela Webb Escalante.


Juanita is survived by her 6 children, Belinda (Al) Meave of Palm Coast FL, Tracy (Juan) Aguinaga of TX, Terry D. Webb, Jr. of Centreville, VA, Shannon Webb, Billy (Larissa) Webb and Mike Webb all of Manassas, VA. 20 grandchildren , Jackie, Robert, Victoria, Sage, Kiara, Kalin, Matthew, Meghan, Morgan, Alyssa, Nikolas, Rene Jr., Elizabeth, Dominic, Stephanie, Alex, Kristina, David Jr, Jason, and Nathan; as well as 6 great- grandchildren; Jayliana, Janelly, Robert Jr., Jordan, Miles, Mila.

Juanita leaves behind her six loving sisters with Juanita being the oldest; Janet Chapman Hood, Patty Ballard, Debbie Madden, Brenda Kay Weatherholtz, Tammy Lynn Chapman Alexander, and Carolyn Ruth Thornsbury. 


Juanita lost her battle to a cancerous tumor in her stomach. Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Juanita provided family fundamentals to the ones she loved. She will always be missed and never forgotten.
