Naomi Louise Miller died on April 15th, 2022, surrounded by friends and family. She was 71.
Naomi was born on April 8th, 1951, to Dr. Clifford John Miller and Audrey Anne Kolowrat Miller. She inherited her father’s sharp memory and knack for storytelling, and her mother’s practicality and compassionate heart. She was part of a large and loving family - the second of 10 children - and developed her keen maternal skills by helping to raise her younger siblings. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and aunt, and her memory will be for a blessing.
Naomi dedicated her life to helping others as a social worker and therapist. She loved poetry, music, and travel. She was an exceptional baker, and passed many recipes on to her children and their cousins. She found great comfort and community in her Jewish faith, and was famous for her challah. She took pride in being a crazy cat lady, and is leaving both a collection of wooden cats and her beloved ragdoll, Simcha, to her daughter.
Naomi was predeceased by her parents Audey and Cliff, brothers Donny and Jimmy, sister Sue, and nephews Christopher, James, and Timmy. She leaves behind children Cory, Kati, and Jesse, sisters Karen, Lina, Lisa, Patti, and Paula, brothers Jerry, Joel, Mark, and Wayne, and 17 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you honor her memory by donating to House of Ruth, World Central Kitchen, or RAINN.
