Yanghee Lee passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2021 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband Eun-Chik, son Justin, sister Eunjung, and two dogs who will strive to live up to the joy she gifted to this world.
Yanghee blessed us through her fulfilled life as a real-life Superwoman. Even through serious health problems, as an immigrant parent, she adapted to a new world and worked relentlessly to provide for her family while spreading her selfless love and brightness to everyone around her. As an incredible artist, she channeled her passion to fill her home with beautiful artwork that expressed her deep spirituality and gift while devotedly guiding her students to discover passions of their own. We are grief-stricken, but we take comfort in the fact that Yanghee is now by our Almighty God's side. And this is not goodbye forever.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Alan Speir, NP Pam Crippen, and the amazing doctors and nurses at both the Inova Fairfax Heart Institute and Neuroscience ICU.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at her church, Open Door Prebysterian Church at 3001 Centreville Rd, Herndon, VA 20171 in December. The date and time will be announced later.
