Dale Joseph Leuck died in his Virginia family home on July 5th, 2018 at the age of 67.
Dale was born on September 14th, 1950 to Carl and Lucy Leuck in Indiana, where he spent his childhood. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at the University of Purdue and went on to receive a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics at the University of Tennessee. Dale had a prominent career as an economist at the US Department of Agriculture, analyzing European markets and the domestic livestock sector. He had an avid interest in politics, economy, real estate, energy and climate and became a published author in numerous intellectual magazines.
As a loving husband, father, son, brother and an active member of the community, Dale was known as an energetic, kind and vigorous individual. He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Valentina Leuck; his daughter and son, Olga and Alex; his brother Lyle Leuck; sister-in-law, Susan Leuck.
Following a private cremation, a reception will be held at the Centreville Presbyterian Church, 15450 Lee Hwy, Centreville, VA 20120. The family invites all to attend the lunch reception on Saturday, July 14th at 11:30 am to honor the life and memory of Dale.
