Connie attended Mount Saint Scholastica College and Pittsburg State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Shortly after graduation, she married her college sweetheart, Frank Andrew Matteucci, who died in 2012 after 48 years of marriage.

Connie attended Mount Saint Scholastica College in Atchison, Kansas before transferring to Pittsburgh State University, where she was selected as homecoming queen. She was active in Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and enjoyed lifelong friendships with many of her colleagues. She also maintained deep relationships with her classmates and friends from her high school years. Connie was a social butterfly and delighted in visiting with family and friends.
Connie’s interest in all sports, especially watching football and playing tennis, was the topic of family lore. Connie was an avid and skilled tennis player who played competitively into her 70s and never missed an opportunity for a match. Connie was also a great fan of the cinema. She and daughter Kathy loved going to the movies followed by dinner and a nice glass of wine.

She cherished her time with them and followed their lives closely, celebrating their successes and offering encouragement during challenges. Connie will be missed by literally hundreds of friends and acquaintances; especially by her colleagues at ZaZu, a unique gift shop in Ashburn, Virginia where she worked as a sales associate these past several years.
