Mrs. Effie Irene (Sneeden) Green, aged 85, passed away peacefully in her Oakton, Virginia home with family on December 10, 2018.
Mrs. Effie Irene (Sneeden) Green, born on August 11, 1933, in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Effie graduated from Meredith College. She was a Fairfax County teacher and homemaker. Effie was the beloved wife of Howard Robert for 61 years.
She loved book club, bible study, and tennis. She traveled round the world. She was a prayer group member at Vale United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer and Civil Rights Advocate and Election Polls official.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey H. Green; daughters, Jennifer G. Seven and Julie G. Miller; and grandchildren, Kara L. Seven, Cameron D. Seven, Christopher D. Seven , Aron Felts, and great granddaughter Daelyn Felts. She had a son in-law, Eric J. Miller. She also leaves behind her greatly loved dog, Karma.
Memories of Effie will forever live in our hearts. Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the celebration of life service on Saturday, December 15th, at 2:00PM, officiated by Pastor Jeffrey Haugh at Vale United Methodist Church, 11528 Vale Road, Oakton, Virginia, 22124.
