William Alfred Sellner (Bill) of Nokesville, VA passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday January 12th, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born January 10, 1934, to Robert Leroy Sellner and Edith Arlene Sellner (Hartney) of Clinton MD both deceased.\nHe retired 26 years ago and has enjoyed golfing and playing cards most of his life. Him and his wife Cecilia lived in Florida until she retired in 2012 and moved back to VA to live with their son and his wife 10 years ago. During that time, he was able to spend a lot of time with his grandkids and great grandkids and had plenty of family events to enjoy.\nBill was an Army Veteran and spent most of his career as a furniture salesman and worked plenty of other jobs until he retired at the age of 62. He enjoyed a party, playing cards, and living the life he wanted to live.\nHe was preceded in death by his parents Robert Leroy Sellner, Edith Arlene Sellner, brother Robert Edward Sellner, his two sisters Margaret Sellner and Norma Sellner. He is survived by his brother Richard Thomas Sellner of Stafford VA and two sisters Patricia Ann Greer of Myrtle Beach SC, and Dorothy Norine Sellner of Tennessee.\nAlso surviving are 4 sons Kevin Sellner (Dayna) of Nokesville VA, Brian Sellner (Kimberly) of Pinellas Park FL, Edward Sellner of Lakeland FL, and Jerry Sellner of Florence AZ. 2 Grandchildren Corey Sellner (Felicia) of Warrenton VA, Paige Bookwalter (Ben) of Nokesville VA and 7 Great Grandchildren Joel, Noah, Annalise, Gabriel, Mary-Juliette, Silas, and Sofia. He has several nieces and nephews as well.\nThe family will hold a memorial in late spring or summer of 2022 to celebrate his life and will provide more details at that time.
