Ruth Ann Brooks, 73, of Troy, VA and formerly a lifelong resident of Manassas, VA, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.\r\n\r\nShe was born on July 15, 1942 to the late William Henry and Ruth Ardell Grimes.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include her six daughters, Barbara Ann Prusaitis of Lovettsville, VA, Peggy Lynne Brooks-Stroud of Manassas, VA, Lisa Sue Snoddy of Troy, VA, Cheryl Naomi Doolittle of Phoenix, AZ, Cindy Rae Crawford of Bryan, TX and Kathy Jo Brooks of Stafford, VA; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Clara Mae Jessee of Manassas, VA and one brother, Wilson Steven Grimes of Crossville, TN. She was preceded in death by one brother, William Mark Grimes.\r\n\r\nRuth was a very caring mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, reading "The Little House on the Prairie" books as well as watching T.V. shows of "The Little House on the Prairie", "The Waltons" and "I Love Lucy" If she couldn't be found at home, she was most likely in the middle of one of her most adventurous shopping trips to Walmart in Manassas, VA. \r\n\r\nA private Memorial Service will be held at a later time.\r\n\r\nExpressions of sympathy are asked to take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Ruth A.Brooks.
