Robert Harper (Bob) Steinfeldt age 89 of Vienna, Va, passed away on December 8 in his home with his much loved caretaker-George Gvachliani and his family by his side.\nBob was born in Rochester NY to Harold and Gertrude Steinfeldt on May 31, 1932. He went to high school in Charlotte NY and graduated in 1950. He went on to earn a degree in Labor Relations from Cornell University. He worked for ExxonMobil for 28 years. He enjoyed golf, bowling, reading and FoxNews. He was involved with the Optimist Club of Vienna.\n\nBob is survived by his spouse of 65 years, Jean Steinfeldt of Vienna, Va, 3 children , AnnMarie Steinfeldt of Fairfax, Eric Steinfeldt of NJ and Karen Steinfeldt of Ashburn. In addition he is survived by his 3 grandchildren, Raymer Steinfeldt, Cole Steinfeldt and John Steinfeldt of NJ as well as two nephews Jim and John Austin of NC. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Gertrude Steinfeldt and his sister Sally Austin.\n\nIn lieu of flowers donations may be made to Epilepsy Foundation, 3540 Crane Highway, Ste 675, Bowie Maryland 20716 or Lost dog and Cats, 6801 Wilson Blvd, Falls Church, Va 22044.\n\nIt was Bob's wish that instead of a service his immediate family meet in July and his ashes be spread at the place he loved- Lake George NY.
