Robert "Martin" Balzer, 25, of Luray, died suddenly on June 13, 2020.\n\nHe was born March 5, 1995, in Reston, Virginia and was the son of the late Fred Lee Peeples, III and Lisa Marie Holland.\n\nHe was a 2013 graduate of Luray High School, where he was ranked 13th in his class. He scored a perfect 600 on his Math SOL, was consistently on the Honor Roll and Deans List, played the Saxophone in the Marching and Concert Band and sang in the Choir.\n\nHe auditioned for the Page County Quest for the Stars.\n\nHe was dual-enrolled in high school obtaining college credits toward his Associates Degree and attended the Page County Technical Center where he completed and became a board certified Cosmetologist.\n\nHe had 2 passions in life. The first was his love of Math and had dreams of becoming a Certified Public Accountant.\n\nThe other passion in his life was being a hair stylist. He had a multitude of clients who kept his appointment books packed and was never one to deny a client their wants or desires (rainbow hair, etc).\n\nHe had a flare for the unusual and was never afraid to take a risk and try new things. He dreamed of owning his own hair salon one day.\n\nHe was an avid music enthusiast - always playing music so loud in his car that you could hear him coming way before he appeared.\n\nHis all time favorite past time was spending time with his close friends and driving down country roads or wherever his car would take him.\n\nSurviving in addition to his mother, are an Aunt & Uncle (Godparents) Lori and Wayne Newcomb of Herndon, VA, two cousins Clayton & Thomas Newcomb of Herndon, VA, a Step-Sister Nikki Peeples Douglas of Maryland, and numerous close friends.\n\nHe was proceeded in death by his beloved Grandmother "Nana" Helen Marie Balzer, Grandfather Martin Emmett Balzer, his Father Fred Lee Peeples, III, Uncle Robert Claggett Peeples, Grandmother Doris Peeples and Step-Brother Fred Lee Peeples, IV and Step-Father Mitchell S. Holland.\n\nServices are planned for a later date.
