Rakesh Nayyar Obituary (2022) - Chantilly, Virginia

Sh. Rakesh Nayyar was born in Pathankot, India on 02/13/1954. He studied in Shishu Niketan Boarding School(now Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy) in Mussoorie and later graduated from Guru Nanak Dev University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts. He joined his father timber business until immigrating to the United States in November 2000 with his wife and son. Rakesh was very fond of watching Cricket, Tennis, and many other sports. In his younger days, he also loved playing Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton, and Soccer. He was particularly fond of eating fried fish, chicken kababs, vegetable fritters, dosa, and lentils. Nature, flowers, and gardening were very close to his heart. Up until 2019, he actively worked on his small flower garden in Belleville, MI. Rakesh is preceded by his parents, Late. Smt. Bimla and Sh. Ramesh Chander Nayyar. Rakesh is survived by his wife Rakesh Kumari Nayyar, two daughters, a son, 4 grandchildren, and two sisters. A celebration of life Satsang will be held at 4501 Pleasant Valley Rd, Chantilly, VA, 20151 on 01/06/2023 from 2PM-4PM. Meal will be served prior to Satsang from 1PM-2PM.
