It is with a very heavy heart the Evan family announces that, Mary Frances Evan, of Vienna, Virginia, passed away suddenly on October 13, 2020, at the age of 90.\nBorn in Geneva, New York, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Frances Pollino. A few years after high school, she moved to Washington D.C. and began a career at the Central Intelligence Agency, where she met her husband, Michael Evan, Jr. Together they built a beautiful family and lived a long, happy life.\nShe is survived by her husband of 67 years, Michael Evan, Jr. and their 5 children Frances E. Hinkle, Anna Miller (Bill), Theresa Clements (Ray), Linda Geary (Don), Michael Evan (Kim). Her 13 grandchildren, Steven, Christopher, Tara, Donnie, Monica, Valerie, Amanda, Derek, Michelle, Haley, Michael, Nicholas, and Andrew. Her 8 great-grandchildren Thomas, Everett, Weldon, George, Brayden, Sellers, Grayson, and Rebecca. Another due in November. One life ends another begins.\nTo know Mary, was to love Mary. More commonly known to the family as Meema, she loved to spend her time in the kitchen cooking and baking for everyone. She was a believer in the saying, "the quickest way to a person's heart is through their stomach". From the second you walked into her home, she would welcome you with open arms, chauffer you into the kitchen, make you a cup of tea, while saying , "Let me fix you something to eat." That was her remedy for anything in life and no one ever turned down Meema's famous cooking. She had a unique way of making you feel loved and you always left with a full stomach and feeling better than when you arrived. Mary had a very kind, warm, loving soul and will truly be missed by many.\nWe know she will be watching over all of us.\nWe love you Mary, Mom, and Meema!\nThe family will have a private celebration at a later date.
