Marcello E. DeSouza Obituary (2016)

Marcello E. DeSouza, 42 passed away at his home in Centreville, VA on November 9, 2016 after a hard fought and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Marcello was married to Zulma "Zuly" R. Sanchez-DeSouza; they were married 2 years. Marcello is lovingly remembered by his wife, Zuly, his two children, Enrique DeSouza and Mateo Emilio DeSouza; mother, Maria Helena DeSouza; his brother, Edouardo Etienne; sister, Marcia DeSouza; his nephews; and the rest of his family and friends. A native of Washington, D.C., he loved living in the city, but chose to raise his family in the suburbs of Northern Virginia. Marcello left a memorable and genuine affection on all those who knew him. He was a loyal friend, affectionate father, and loving husband. He worked in retail management for over 20 years. Marcello loved spending time with his friends and family. He was a passionate fan of the Washington Wizards, making sure to never miss a game. The memorial services were held 10:00am at Direct Cremation Services of Virginia 4425 Brookefield Corporate Drive, Suite 100 Chantilly, VA 20151 on November 16, 2016.
