Louise Vidal Peters\n\nLouise Vidal Peters, 71, of Sterling, Virginia, passed away on January 26th at Loudoun Hospital Center.\n\nLouise was born on August 12th, 1948 to parents Henry H. and Frances L. Vidal in Port Jefferson, NY. She grew up the eldest of six children. She graduated from George Washington University and went on to work for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in Washington, DC, where she met and later married William J. Peters in 1974. \n\nAfter retiring from OPM, Louise enjoyed reading, summer camping trips with the family and friends at John H. Kerr Damn, trips with her mother, and cheering for her grandchildren at sporting events.\n\nLouise was preceded in death by her father Henry and husband William. Louise is survived by her son Greg Peters, daughter Linda Peters Kocher, son Chris Peters and his girlfriend Renai Lynn as well as her grandchildren Austin Kocher, Kaitlyn Kocher and William "Grayson" Peters. In addition, she is survived by her mother Frances, siblings Henry Vidal; Frances Turk, her husband Larry and their daughter Elizabeth; Elizabeth Alfieri, her husband Victor and sons Victor and Joshua; sister Ruth Miller, her husband Michael and daughter Amanda; brother Paul Vidal, and countless friends.\n\nA service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Riverside Presbyterian Church, 21631 Ridgetop Circle, Suite 100, Sterling, VA 20166 with reception immediately following at The Bungalow Lakehouse, 46116 Lake Center Plaza, Sterling, VA 20165. \nAll are invited to celebrate Louise Peters' life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Heart Association, American Stroke Association or Autism Speaks.
