Linda G. Edwards, 76, of Manassas, Virginia passed away January 18, 2023, after complications from a stroke she suffered earlier in the month.\n \nShe was born August 1, 1946, in Lynn, Massachusetts to the late George and Marion Gay. Upon graduation from Lynn Classical High School, Linda worked briefly at the United States Passport office in Boston before marrying her first husband, the late Henry Bearer, and moving to New Hampshire. Linda was preceded in death by her second husband, Robert Edwards, Sr., of Pelham, NH. After her second husband’s passing, Linda moved to Virginia to be closer to her beloved grandchildren. \n \nLinda enjoyed sewing and quilting - passions she shared with fellow members of the Manassas Senior Center and the residents of Marywood Apartments where she was president of the resident council. She participated in many craft fairs, frequently served as a crafts judge for the Prince William County Fair, and enjoyed recreation activities with many friends in her building. \n\nShe is survived by her two children, Erica Kent and husband, Phillip of Manassas, Virginia and Michael Bearer and wife Jennifer of Pelham, New Hampshire; two brothers, Bob Gay and wife Doreen of Florida and James Gray of New Hampshire; five grandchildren, David, Gavin, Heather, Mitchell, and Rebecca Kent; and her cat, Hollie, who brought her so much joy in her final years. \n \nServices are pending as Linda’s wishes were to be laid to rest in New Hampshire.\n \nThe family would like to extend its deep appreciation for the nurses at UVA Prince William Medical center and Capital Caring Health for all the support they provided during Linda’s final weeks of life.\n \nIn lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Diabetes Association or American Stroke Association/American Heart Association in Linda’s name.
