Kimberlee Tangen left us peacefully in her sleep after a long fight with cancer on January the 8th 2015 surrounded by her friends and family. Kim was born in Malta Montana on October 13th 1968. Her parents are Marlene Helland Holman and the late Harvey Holman of Malta Montana.\r\nKim attended school in Malta and spent her summers working at the family Hereford Ranch. She was active in many clubs and sports. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandmother Jessie Holman, returning home whenever she could to be with her.\r\nKim started college in 1987 at Montana State University in Bozeman Montana. She had always loved working with children and it was at MSU that she decided to focus on being a teacher. While at MSU she had various side jobs ranging from nanny to bartender.\r\nKim's dream of being a mother came true when her daughter Kailee was born in 1993 and Drew two years late. A move to Oregon soon after Drew's birth allowed Kim to focus on her dream of opening a day care center. Her family lived in Gresham Oregon for 9 years before moving to Springfield Virginia where Kim began teaching for Fairfax County.\r\nKim's love of working with children has made her very well known in many places. Few in this world can say they love what they do, Kim however, truly loved being a teacher. She is warmly thought of for her impact on hundreds of children and their families.\r\nKim loved children, the outdoors, going to the beach, her beloved Labrador Jax, her friends and her fuzzy socks. Most of all she loved her kids.\r\nKim is survived by her mother Marlene, her sister Cindi, her brother Dustin and her children Kailee and Drew and many friends all over the country.\r\nA Celebration of Kimberlee's life will be held on Sunday January 11, 2015 at 3:00 at Spates Community Center at Ft. Myer.
