Jane E. Caswell, age 63, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 4, 2018, at her home in Fairfax, VA. She was born on September 11, 1955, in Ohio, to Elmer "Pete" and Virginia (Donley) Hill. She was a 1973 graduate of Martins Ferry High School. She married Robert Caswell in McLean, VA on August 15, 1980. She worked as a Surgical Scheduler for Dominion Urological and showed a natural grasp for understanding complicated medical terms and procedures.\n\nJane truly lived life to its fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, and interacting with the other love of her life, her quarter horse, Capital Queen. Jane had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her husband Robert, her daughter Jade E. Ostroha, her son, Robert G. Caswell, two grandchildren Taryn Barefoot and Gabriel Ostroha, four brothers, Raymond, Clarence, Jack, and Jonathan, a sister, Brenda Prendergast and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.\n\nFamily, friends, and others whose lives Jane touched are invited to the Direct Cremation Services of Virginia, 4425 Brookfield Corporate Drive, Suite 100, Chantilly, VA on Saturday November 10 for a viewing from 10:00 AM to noon, and funeral services from noon until 1:00 PM to reminisce, grieve, and support each other, and, of course, just chat.
