On July 15, 2019, Master Sergeant (retired) Ira E. Hostetter passed away at his daughter, Shirley Rodriguez's home from natural causes.\n\nMSG Hostetter served 23 years in the US Army and served two combat tours in Vietnam. His many awards included the Purple Heart Medal for wounds received in action, the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal 2 Oak Leave Clusters, Joint Services Commendation Medal, Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal w/4 knots. MSG Hostetter was a life member of the DAV, the Shriners and a 32nd Mason.\n\nMSG Hostetter loved gardening, growing flowers of all kinds, golfing with his many friends and playing games with his children.\n\nMsg Hostetter was born in Lebanon, PA to John and Myrtle Hostetter on October 4th, 1934. He is survived by his five children, Anna Adkins, Shirley Rodriguez, Ed Hostetter, Sylvia Dunnigan and Vicky Haneline.\n\nHe is to be interred at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 at 2pm. Family and friends are to meet at the Adminsitration Building. In lieu of flowers please send donations in his name to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization or the Shriners organization.
