On Monday, March 12, Inez Taviano-Simonin, of Fairfax, Virginia passed away surrounded by her closest family and friends. Inez succumbed to her five year battle with brain cancer. She fought a brave battle. Inez was born January 23, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pa to John Francis and Anastasia Taviano. Inez grew up on Garnet St., and graduated from John C. Hallahan all girls High School class of '55. She had a love of travel, seeing England, Europe, Bermuda, and the majority of the U.S. She was an avid fan of the Naval Academy football. Inez worked for Trans World Airlines as a ticket agent from 1964-1972. After moving to Virginia, she worked for The National School Boards Assoc. for 20 years in charge of their publications dept. bookstore. She will be remembered for her love of all things British. Inez was a woman who loved and treasured her family. She took joy in seeing her grandson, Aidan every day. She is survived by her daughters, Stacia Lynn Simonin of Fairfax, Deborah L. Boyd and her husband, Eric J Boyd of Manassas, Va., one beloved grandson, Aidan Calder Simonin-Northrop of Fairfax, ex-husband Joseph Simonin, Jr. of Woodbridge, Va., sister Lucille Mace and her husband Herb of Bluebell, Pa, sister-in-law Gail Taviano of Glen Burnie, Md., 5 neices and nephews along with their spouses, 12 great grand-nieces and nephews, along with many close friends and co-workers. \r\nIn lieu of flowers, Inez would have liked donations made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Trinity Christian School of Fairfax, Va.
