Hope Drever Kindel of Clifton, VA, passed away February 9, 2022 at the age of 94. She was born September 22, 1927 in Chicago, IL to parents Arletta and Harry Camit. She married her beloved husband William on November 1, 1947 and shared a happy life with him until his death on June 26, 2011.\n\nTheir first-born, Kenny, survived only two months. Hope and William went on to shepherd through childhood four energetic daughters. Hope was fairly adventurous taking the family camping before it was popular and traveling across the country in the family station wagon. After her children went on to live their own lives she eagerly went flying with William in his little two-seat Beechcraft Skipper. Though her husband always had an interest in sailing, she considered flying to be safer than sailing because she could not swim. Later in life she loved playing with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.\n\nHope was preceded in death by husband William Eugene Kindel and son Kenneth William Kindel. Hope is survived by daughters Lynn Richardson (Edward), Janet Shlanta (Robert), Carole Kindel (Wade Whetzel), and Sue Churchwell (William), grandchildren Nathan Shlanta, Michael Kosciw, and Kimberly Midgette, five great-grand children, one great-great-grandchild, and sister Joy Eastman. She also leaves her precious kitty Petunia. A private service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery. Donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
