Forest "Sonny" Knisley, Jr. Obituary (2022)

Forest “Sonny” Knisley, Jr. He was born to Nellie Knisley and Forest Knisley, Sr. on December 22nd, 1948. Sonny was a good son, husband, son-in-law, and father to his children and other children. It wasn’t his child or Toodle’s child that made him a family man -- a 6-month baby girl named Kelly did that; then came his son Scott, his special niece Missy, and his daughter Melinda. Sonny was never more proud than when he became a grandfather to Paige Ann, Logan Forest, Emily Grace, Kailee Virginia, and Colton William. Sonny was more than honored to help Melinda raise her 3 children: Logan, Kailee, and Colton. Just as he took care of each of his children and grandchildren, he was also a wonderful husband to his wife of 52 years, Toodle. Sonny never judged anyone when they needed something and was willing to help whenever he could. Sonny worked in HVAC for his whole life and was a master HVAC technician until he retired. He loved driving his two big red trucks. He loved hunting and fishing, especially with his son, Scott. He also loved being at his hunting cabin with family and friends. There was not a person out there who did not adore and admire Sonny. Forest “Sonny” Knisley is survived by his wife Toodle, his son Scott Forest, his daughter Melinda Lee, his 5 grandchildren Paige, Logan, Emily, Kailee, Colton, his 3 sisters, Rita, Patricia, and Judy, and his brother Gary. In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his sister Nellie (Bucky).
