Edythe E. Jones, 98, of Herndon, VA, (formerly of Westfield, N.J)., passed peacefully with her family by her side December 4, 2018.\nShe was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.\n\nEdythe was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was an amazing, vibrant person. She loved life and lit up the room wherever she went with her infectious personality. Many can recount a funny story that Edythe told and her quick way of delivering a punch line to any joke. She loved ballroom dancing, gardening, reading, playing pinochle and dominoes (in which, she always seem to WIN!) You could often find Edythe out in the sunshine. She loved spending time at the beach with her family and vacationed in Florida.\n\nShe was a graduate of Battin High School (Elizabeth) in 1937. Edythe enjoyed a professional career as a purchasing agent with Bergen Medical, as well as a 7 year career after retirement; where she held a position as an accounts payable clerk with Residex.\nOwning a home in Westfield for more than 65 years provided Edythe with many life-long friendships, neighbors and wonderful memories.\n\nEdythe was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas E. Jones\n\nShe is survived by her daughters; Kristine Jones of Ohio, Kathleen (Patrick) Lynham of Virginia and granddaughter; Kaitlin Lynham.\n\n\nPrivate Services with be held at Fairview Cemetery In Westfield, Spring 2019.\n\n\n\n.
