Edward William McKulsky passed away in Fairfax, VA, on July 10, 2022, of complications from Parkinson's Disease. He was 78 years old.\n\nEd was born in Detroit, MI, and grew up in Bad Axe, MI, with his parents Edward A. and Violet (Etzler), his sister Sharon and his brother Bill, all deceased. After he finished his military service (Air Force), he moved to California and earned his bachelor's degree in Criminology from the University of California, Berkeley. He joined the Oakland Police force for a few years, then became a Special Agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration which he retired from in 1997 after 29 years of service. He was posted in San Francisco, Thailand, San Diego, and Washington, DC.\n\nHe is survived by his wife, Dominique Banville, his children Tamera Mock (Tim), Edward A. (Brooke Nunnally), and Matthew D. (Stevie); five grandchildren, McKenzie, Madison, August, Edith, and Brody; numerous nieces and nephews; and in-laws.\n\nA celebration of his life will be held at Chantilly National Golf and Country Club, 14901 Braddock Rd, Centreville, VA 20120, on August 31 at 11:00 am.\n\nThe family would like to thank the staff at Arden Courts, Fair Oaks for their care and support.\n\nDonations to Ed's memory can be made to the INOVA Health Foundation (INOVA Neuroscience).
