David Wayne Ashley, Jr.\nMarch 9, 1975 - June 28, 2022\n\nDavid Ashley, Jr., 47, of Falls Church, VA passed away June 28, 2022, at Virginia Hospital Center. David's family was with him during his last days and his sister, Sarah, was by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born to Bonnie and David Ashley at Fairfax Hospital on March 9, 1975.\n\nDavid owned Ashley's Home Improvement and was an excellent painter. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed his time on the lakes. David loved spending time with his nieces and had enormous love for his family. He always had time for people that were suffering with a kind word or even giving them his last dollar. He loved the Lord and believed he would one day be in a better place, free from pain.\nDavid is survived by his mother, Bonnie Ashley of Herndon, VA; his father, David Ashley and stepmother, Susan Stancik of Travelers Rest, SC; his brother, Michael Ashley and niece, Elizabeth Ashley both of Ashburn, VA and his sister Sarah Ashley and her companion, Cameron Wiley and nieces, Brooklynn Ashley and Harley Wiley all of Herndon, VA. He also leaves his uncle Charles Alexander and his cousins, Jason Alexander and Matthew Alexander; aunts, Vickie Alexander and Mary Ashley and cousins, Robert Ashley and Heidi Potempa. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hubert (Duke) and Helen Alexander, paternal grandparents Norman and Ruth Ashley and uncle, George Ashley.\nA memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Fairfax City Cemetery, 10567 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22030. David will be laid to rest with his maternal grandparents.
