Cheryl Jean Schill Obituary (2022)

Cheryl Jean Schill, 71 years of age, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She was born July 2, 1951 in Marquette, Michigan. She was a beloved sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She moved to the East Coast at the age of 18, where she lived and raised her family in Maryland for 50 years. She worked various jobs within the public and private sector, while also taking time off to be a homemaker during her children's early years. She retired from the University of Maryland where she worked for over 20 years. Upon her retirement in 2020, she moved in and spent her remaining years with her daughter's family. She was an active member of the Catholic Church growing up and throughout her adult life. She took pride in her family and loved taking road trips with them. She enjoyed watching the Golden Girls, playing bingo, doing cross stitch and figuring out puzzles. She is survived by her two children, Jessica Zeroual (Ali) and Alexander Schill IV (Sanaz); five grandchildren, Layla Zeroual, Amir Zeroual, Isabelle Schill, Omar Zeroual and Rachelle Schill; and three brothers, Paul Kyto (Darlene), Steve Kyto and David Kyto (Lori). She was preceded in death by her parents Toivo and Celeste Kyto and husband Alexander Schill III. No services are planned at this time.
