Bryan Adam Miller (September 25, 1983 – February 8, 2015). Bryan loved listening to music and singing songs like Happy Birthday, The Wheels on the Bus, Barney’s I Love You and several others. When he was happy, he sang the birthday song. He loved going to shopping malls and going to McDonalds for his favorite Chicken Nuggets and fries. But his most favorite activity was playing with pictures in a plastic, zippered bag; spending countless hours with them. He also loved looking at books and pictures of dogs and meeting them, too. He was very fond of one particular German shepherd dog named Jewel. When he was asked what the dog says, he always replied “Woof! Woof!” Bryan liked to be silly and making others happy with his silliness. He loved visiting his Nana where he knew a special box waited for him to put his pictures in. Bryan was born in Fairfax, Virginia with Hydrocephalus and other disabilities, and was a steadfast warrior whose spirit remained strong time after time as he dealt with his many health challenges throughout his life. He was smart, loving, mischievous, and had a gentle soul. He grew up in Burke, Virginia while attending the Key Center School in Springfield, Virginia from the age of 5 through 22. He moved to Queen Elizabeth ICF in Annandale, Virginia and loved going to his day program at ServiceSource (formerly Central Fairfax Services) in Springfield, Virginia. He lived his life with joy and happiness surrounded by his family: parents Noreen Ames and Christopher Miller, brother Joshua, grandparents Carol Ames Mayer, Elaine Ames, Vincent and Glenna Miller; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Make level paths for your feet so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.” (Hebrews 12:12-13 (NIV)).
